MÄDCHENBLUMEN, OP.22
VIER LIEDER, OP. 27
DREI LIEDER DER OPHELIA, OP. 67
A semi-staged programme
featuring texts from
William Shakespeare's
Hamlet
and some of
Richard Strauss'
finest song repertoire.

A new concert experience
created by Danika Lorèn
Helpless
Her traumatic journey begins
in Shakespeare's Hamlet
and has continued to be explored
through many mediums since,
yet Ophelia's story is as murky
as the water in which
she finds her death.
We present a journey
from destructive love
to debilitating loneliness
in a concert programme
based on the character
that Shakespeare named "Help".

With visuals inspired by Sir John Everett Millais' Ophelia (1851/2)
